Kinder Knights
Participant Ages: 3–5-year-olds
30-minutes sessions:
– Friday Nights: Ivanhoe East Primary School at 4pm
– Saturday Mornings: Ivanhoe East Primary School at 8:45am

Kinder Knights is the Ivanhoe Knights introductory program for future Knights just starting out on their basketball journey. Catered towards 3–5-year-olds, Kinder Knights focuses on introduction to basketball skills as well as motor skills development. The small-sized classes are filled with positive encouragement and support from our club coaches.
Little Knights
Participant Ages: 6–8-year-olds
45-minute sessions
– Friday Nights: Alphington Primary School at 4pm, 4:45pm
or Ivanhoe East Primary School at 4:30pm & 5:15pm
– Saturday Mornings: Ivanhoe East Primary School at 9:15am

Little Knights is the ever-popular next phase of development offered by the Knights. Offered for 6–8-year-olds, Little Knights is focused on teaching fundamental skills of basketball including dribbling, shooting, passing and catching. Throughout the term, skills are developed through basketball focused games and activities, culminating in mini games at the end of each term.
ALL Knights
Participant Ages: 4–12-year-olds
Fridays, 5.30 pm – 6:15 pm
at Alphington Primary School

The Ivanhoe Knight’s unique basketball program aimed at children with ASD and other neurodiversity, ages 6-14.
Our All Abilities Knights coaches have all undertaken training provided by AMAZE. The program utilises our successful Little Knights model, with adjustments that include:
• No Whistles or Clock Sirens
• 1 to 4 ratio with Coach in Skill Groups Maximum
• Lowered Rings for all groups
• Non-Competitive Games
• Use of Softballs as needed
• Noise Cancelling Headphones Acceptable for all participants
K League
Participant Ages: 6–8-year-olds
Tuesdays, 4 pm – 5 pm
at Alphington Primary School

K League is the next step for those with previous Little Knights experience only. For 6–8-year-olds who are interested in playing games but may still be looking to develop their in-game skills before joining the EDJBA competition.
In this program, players will be split up into the 3-4 teams and these teams will play a series of round robin games in the afternoon against each other with officiating & guidance by the coaches. Rules are adjusted to help the players get used to making in-game decisions and having fouls/violations called in a game setting.
Development Squad
Participant Ages: 8–13-year-olds
1 hour sessions:
– Mondays, 5 pm at La Trobe Sports Stadium, Court 6
– Thursdays, 4 pm at Narrandjeri Stadium

For current Ivanhoe Knights players, Dev Squad gives the opportunity for those players looking for opportunity to get extra skill development sessions in. Ideally suited for 8-13-year-old players, Dev Squad focuses on fine tuning skills such as dribbling, finishing, passing, and shooting.
Shooting Squad
Participant Ages: 10–15-year-olds
Tuesdays, 6 pm – 7 pm
at La Trobe Sports Stadium, Court 3

Shooting Squad is for current Knights players looking to improve their shooting and finishing abilities. Ideally suited for 10-15-year-old players, there is some allowance for dedicated and focused younger players to participate.
Utilising IKBC’s Dr. Dish shooting machine, players will get more focused and personalised feedback for improving their shooting mechanics and abilities.
Early Risers
Participant Ages: 10–14-year-olds
Wednesdays, 7 am – 8 am
at Narrandjeri Stadium, Show Court

Early Risers Squad is for 10–14-year-old players who are motivated to put in the extra work when others aren’t! Here dedicated Knights will get an added small group training session before school, focused on skills including shooting, finishing, game awareness, and more.
