Welcome

Welcome to our first electronic newsletter. We hope you like the new format.

The club produces a newsletter twice a year, coinciding with the end of one season and the start of the next. Previous issues are available on our website.

A big welcome as well to all the new families joining us for Summer Season 2017-18.

Key dates for next season

Summer Season kicks off on Saturday, 14 October 2017. That means training will start in the week leading up to that first game.

There are no games on the weekend before the Melbourne Cup and no training on the day of the Melbourne Cup. We list seasons date in our event calendar.

New to the Knights?

Here’s a few tips for new players and their families:

Absence from training and games – let your coach and team manager know as early as possible if you won’t be at a training session or game.

Training sessions – don’t forget to bring a water bottle and basketball.

Barracking during games – we love parents barracking, but keep it positive and remember the team already has a coach.

Be on time – aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time for a game and 5 minutes before a training session.

Refs – respect our referees, refrain from making comments about referees and their decisions.
